How would you like to enhance and measure your brand’s online visibility? If so, then you should check out Sistrix.
As with many of the services I’ve reviewed in this space, Sistrix isn’t just a single tool. It’s really a suite of tools.
In fact, you can get up to six different tools that can help you boost your business with Sistrix. I’ll go over each one of them in this review.
The first tool is the SEO Module. As the name implies, it’s designed to help you improve your website’s visibility in the search engine results pages (SERPs).
How does it do that? For starters, it gives you a report to show where your site stands right now.
The report will look familiar if you’ve used other SEO tools. It’s a dashboard that highlights the website’s overall standing, top keywords, number of indexed pages, best URLs, and its top-performing countries.
Sistrix also shows you something called a Visibility Index. That’s a line graph that gives you insight about how visible your site is to cyber-surfers over time.
Ideally, you want that graph to look like a well-performing stock. In other words, it should go up as you look at it from left to right.
The Visibility Index, by the way, is a calculation that’s proprietary to Sistrix. You won’t find it anywhere else.
Sistrix brags about its Visibility Index by calling it “the gold standard of SEO performance indicators.”
That might be a bit of a stretch. Most SEOs usually look to metrics provided by Ahrefs, Moz, or Majestic for that kind of info.
Still, it does offer a quick insight into how well you’re doing with optimization.
By the way, you can view visibility at the domain, host, directory, and URL levels.
Another great feature of the SEO Module: its index is updated daily.
If you’ve worked with other tools, you know that you might have to wait a couple of weeks to see where your site stands for a specific keyword. That’s not the case with Sistrix.
That’s a great benefit when the search engines change their algorithms. It gives you a chance to adapt more quickly to those updates.
The SEO Module also has 10 years worth of historical data. That’s probably going to be good enough for your optimization efforts.
You can also use the tool to find examples of cannibalization.
If you’re unfamiliar with cannibalization as it relates to SEO, it’s something that happens when more than one of your web pages rank for the same keyword. It’s called cannibalization because you have one page “eating” traffic from another page.
You should use the cannibalization info to re-optimize pages that are losing traffic to other pages on your site.
The SEO Module will also alert you to duplicate content. Since that’s a big no-no with Google, you’ll find that info very useful.
Would you like to see how well you’re doing with Rank 0 (or Featured Snippets)? If so, Sistrix will show you Rank 0 records for your domain.
You can also gain insights about how well your site is performing in Google News, Google Images, Google Videos, and Google Maps.
Sistrix Review: Optimizer Module
Next up is the Optimizer Module. It also lives up to its name.
First, use the module to analyze your website for technical issues. It will produce a report showing you the changes you need to make and where you should make them.
Even better: it will prioritize the recommended changes. That way, you can focus on the important items first.
The Optimizer Module will also check your website for changes since its last crawl and show you the updates that occurred.
How does that help? If you’ve noticed a recent drop in rank or an all-of-a-sudden disappearance of a page from the search index, you’ll want to know why. The tool can show you which changes might have triggered the adverse effect.
Sistrix will also archive your changes over time. Use those archives to identify changes that happened in the past that might have caused trouble.
The tool also offers unlimited recrawling. Feel free to crawl (and optimize) your site as much as you want to.
As of now, it supports up to 500,000 URLs crawled across all your projects.
Next, the Optimizer Module enables you to create your own Visibility Index. Build your own database of keywords and see how they’re performing.
Also, you can use the tool to see how those same keywords are performing on competitor websites.
The tool allows you to monitor up to 1,000 keywords.
Are you into international SEO? If so, you’ll be happy to learn that Sistrix will exhaustively check your hreflang attributes. That way, you can be sure that your site is optimized for all intended audiences.
The Optimize Module also includes an API. Use it with your custom-built SEO apps.
If you want a great rank, you’re going to need a healthy banklink profile. Fortunately, Sistrix offers a Link Module that can help with that.
The Link Module checks the strength and weaknesses of each of your backlinks using both Sistrix and Majestic data.
Additionally, the tool will also evaluate an incoming domain for broken links. Use that info to redirect people to a part of your site that they’re likely to appreciate.
You can also use the Link Module to monitor up to 10,000 links every day.
The tool even supports multiple link types, including image links, text links, and canonical links.
Sistrix will also provide you with an anchor text summary. Use that info to see which sites are helping you rank for specific search terms.
Do you want to see your new links? If so, the Link Module can help with that as well.
It will also show you a historical overview of your backlink profile.
If you’re concerned about backlink spam, the tool will highlight questionable links. Then, you can disavow them.
Finally, Sistrix also evaluates the backlink profiles of each of your competitors. It will use that info to share link opportunities that can help you get a better rank.
Sistrix Review: Ads Module
Thus far, I’ve only covered how Sistrix helps with organic reach. It can help with online advertising as well.
The Ads Module offers insights into your Google PPC Ads and Google Shopping campaigns. Use that info to optimize your advertising strategies for maximum reach.
For starters, the tool will show you competitor ads. If you see an ad that’s been around for awhile and appears to be reaching folks in your target market, there’s no reason you can’t use a similar ad to promote your own business.
You can also use the Ads Module to monitor your online ads. View analytics about your display ads, banners, ad copy, and URLs.
If you’re running search ads, Sistrix will also show you details about ad location and positioning.
If you’re serious about reaching people online, you’ll need to enlist the aid of social media. Fortunately, Sistrix offers a Social Module that can help you maximize your organic reach on various social channels.
The tool shows you the most popular shares across various social networks. Use that info to get inspiration about the kinds of content that will earn you lots of engagements.
You can also use Sistrix to find the biggest audiences. That doesn’t mean one of those audiences is going to be your audience, though. But, once again, you might get some ideas about the type of content that resonates with people in your market.
As of now, the tool supports Facebook, Pinterest, and LinkedIn data.
Sistrix Review: Marketplace Module
The Marketplace Module is especially helpful if you’re selling products on Amazon. That’s because it gives you insights from the Amazon platform.
For starters, it shows you data about merchants and the products they’re selling. That kind of insight might uncover some markets you hadn’t previously considered.
The tool will also look at your own Amazon product detail pages and ranking strategies. It will offer optimization recommendations based on various ranking factors.
Sistrix will also alert you when a product you’re following gets a new review. Those kinds of alerts give you a chance to get in front of bad reviews before they cause too much damage to your brand.
Finally, the Marketplace Module also analyzes competitors on the Amazon platform. That will give you the info you need to ultimately outrank them.
Although Sistrix is a suite of tools, it’s not a suite of tools that are all offered under a single price. In fact, each module is sold separately.
It’s easy to remember the price, though. All modules cost 100€ each per month. You’ll also have to pay VAT (Value Added Tax).
The Marketplace Module is an exception. Right now, it costs exactly 0€.
Why? Because it’s still in beta.
You can expect Sistrix to eventually charge 100€ per month for it, though. Until that time, you can probably get in on the beta testing for free.
Wrapping Up This Sistrix Review
Sistrix is definitely a product worth checking out.
The risk, of course, is the exchange rate. If you’re based in the U.S. and the dollar weakens against the Euro, you could end up paying more than you expected for the tool.
If you do decide to go with it, keep in mind that all Sistrix modules offer a free trial period. I strongly recommend you try before you buy.
